Many of you completed the recent survey indicating your interest in participating in a bulk-buy program with the Tim Hortons Distribution Centre for 20 kg bags of sugar.
As a reminder, these bags sustained minor damage during handling and therefore cannot be distributed through Tim Hortons’ normal supply chain. However, the sugar remains dry and suitable for use as bee feed.
Following a site visit, we can confirm that the bags are in good condition, with little to no product loss. Each 20 kg bag is also contained within a translucent plastic bag to prevent further loss.
Pickup & Purchase Details
First pickup: August 29, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
The first pickup will be used to clear the current backlog of available sugar bags. There is a good supply available; however, to ensure everyone has a fair opportunity to purchase sugar, sales will initially be limited to 8 bags per member.
If sugar remains available after the initial sales, members will have the opportunity to purchase up to 8 additional bags, while supplies last.
Price: $14 per 20 kg bag for this initial offer. This is a great price!
This is a one-time introductory price, and the price is expected to increase slightly for future purchases, so this is a great opportunity to stock up for fall feeding.
Pickup Location
The exact details are still being confirmed but plan to pickup your sugar order at the Tim Hortons warehouse which is located within the CN Calgary Logistics Park, east of Calgary.
Pickup details, including the exact location and any additional instructions, will be provided to members who have purchased sugar a couple of days before the pickup date.
