Host a Hive — Calgary and District Beekeepers Association

Let’s face it, beekeeping is a lot of work. Honey isn’t exactly light as air! If you would like one of our members to keep their bees on your property, please complete the form below.

Whether you are a looking for a greater garden or crop yield from pollinators, or are just interesting in sharing your space with some insects, we are happy to share your request with our members. The specifics of the arrangement can be worked out between the beekeeper and the property owner, and the club acts only to introduce the two parties.

How many hives would you like to host? *

In the city of Calgary, 1-2 hives per residential lot are common. If you have an acreage, 2-3 hives are common. If you have a rural property, 4+ hives are common.
I acknowledge it is my responsibility to contact my insurance provider and discuss any possible implications on my insurance coverage when hosting a hive (or hives) at my property. *
